Finance Intern | Atrium Health

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Atrium Health, located remotely across various specified US states. Atrium Health, part of Advocate Health, is a leading nonprofit integrated health system serving nearly 6 million patients across 69 hospitals and over 1,000 care locations. This role is crucial for assisting with financial analyses and compliance related to Medicare, directly supporting the organization’s financial operations and regulatory adherence.

• Team: 13386 Enterprise Corporate – Managed Health Finance
• Mission: Assist with Accounts Payable related wage index analyses and Medicare provider-based attestations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis: Assist with Accounts Payable related wage index analyses.
• Compliance: Prepare Medicare provider-based attestations.
• Learning: Actively learn about diverse aspects of healthcare finance within the department’s focus.
• Project Support: Execute assigned responsibilities aligned with the department’s area of concentration.
• Standards: Adhere to established Service Standards in all duties.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School Graduate. Current enrollment as a junior at a regionally accredited college or university, actively pursuing an undergraduate degree, with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Skills: Good communication (written and verbal), Strong attention to detail, Effective multitasking and prioritization, Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
• Bonus: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree specifically in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related business field.
