Finance/Accounting Intern – Summer 2027 | C&S Wholesale Grocers

The Tone:
This is an internship at C&S Wholesale Grocers, located in Keene, NH. C&S Wholesale Grocers is an industry leader in wholesale grocery supply, supporting independent supermarkets, chain stores, military bases, and institutions across the United States. This role allows an intern to gain hands-on experience in the wholesale grocery industry, contributing to projects that help feed local families and communities. Interns will develop professionally and expand their network within one of the largest privately held companies in the US.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time, 12 week internship from May to August
• Location: Hybrid – Keene, NH Optical Ave. Office

• Mission: Support the finance and accounting functions of a large wholesale grocery company, contributing to daily operations and special projects.
• Tech Stack: Hyperion, Excel, Smartview, Google’s suite of products, Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support department operations: Assist in the day-to-day functions and administrative tasks within areas like Inventory Controls, General Accounting, or Corporate Finance.
• Prepare documentation: Aid in creating presentations, reports, and other necessary departmental documentation.
• Improve processes: Work with team members to identify and implement enhancements for departmental processes and efficiency.
• Execute special projects: Take ownership of and complete assigned projects from your manager.
• Present learning outcomes: Develop and deliver an end-of-internship presentation summarizing learning objectives and contributions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting or Finance related fields.
• Experience: Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing at the time of the internship, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Effective verbal and written communication, problem-solving and critical thinking, organizational and detail-oriented work, ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborative and independent work, curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Bonus: Preferred minimum GPA of 3.0, proficiency with Google’s suite of products.
