Internship Description: Finance Internship
This internship provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of corporate finance at CSX. You will gain valuable experience by working alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects, contributing to their financial performance.
Primary Activities & Responsibilities:
• Project-Based Learning: You will play a key role in completing finance projects, gaining insights into the day-to-day activities of a finance professional.
• Collaboration & Analysis: You will cultivate relationships with internal business partners to analyze marketing, operating, and capital projects, understanding economic tradeoffs to support real-time business decisions.
• Analytical Support: You will provide analytical support for operations reviews, resource allocations, and financial valuations.
• Strategic Planning: You will contribute to the development of short- and long-term forecasts, plans, and strategies.
• Financial Modeling: You will develop and utilize financial models to quantify benefits and drive data-driven economic decisions.
• Communication & Presentations: You will consult and communicate your analyses through presentations to senior management and business partners in other departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 18 years of age or older
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related major field of study from an accredited institution.
• Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4-point scale).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Anticipated graduation within a year after the end of the internship
• Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4-point scale)
Knowledge & Skills:
• Demonstrated academic excellence with a strong interest in finance or quantitative fields
• Proven leadership ability and initiative
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to senior audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Ability to work in an office environment

• Ability to meet established deadlines
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug test.
