The TL;DR

• Team: Federal Billing & Project Funding Branch, within the Financial Management Division, reporting to an immediate supervisor.
• Mission: Contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of funding operations by assisting with financial reconciliation and project funding processes for federal billing.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft 365 (Teams, Planner, SharePoint), Peoplesoft (similar to), Quickbooks (similar to), Tableau, Power BI.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Reconcile project obligations with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) low bid requirements.
• Process: Aid in processing final vouchers and completing FHWA project closeouts.
• Maintain: Troubleshoot and maintain the accuracy of accounting system funding records.
• Support: Provide general support across the branch for federal billing, reconciliations, and Time and Labor processing.
• Analyze: Review and analyze projects with overruns in PSFT PC.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be at least 16 years of age and a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education, including a trade/vocational school, or accepted into a college, university, or educational institution.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required. The role involves learning and applying technical skills with various systems.
• Skills: Perform required technical skills using Microsoft 365 (Teams, Planner, SharePoint, etc.) and similar systems to Peoplesoft, Quickbooks, and Tableau; Communicate effectively; Follow verbal and written instructions; Protect sensitive and confidential information.
• Bonus: Majoring in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science/Technology, Economics or a related major; College-level upper classmen or graduate students.
