• Mission: To provide essential financial and business analysis, support month-end close activities, maintain internal control documentation, and assist with process improvements across various accounting functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Provide financial and business analysis support, compiling, consolidating, and examining accounting and finance information for accuracy.
• Month-End Close: Participate in month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Internal Controls: Maintain Internal Control Documentation (Sarbanes-Oxley) and perform controls testing to evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control environment.
• Process Improvement: Lead, as well as participate, in process improvement efforts within accounting and finance operations.
• Tax & Audit Support: Execute projects related to the application of tax laws, prepare state, local, and federal tax returns, and assist with data gathering for tax audits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a full-time enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at an accredited U.S. college/university.
• Experience: Ability to complete a minimum of 10 weeks or a maximum of 12 weeks commitment, working 40 hours per week, and currently residing within the continental U.S.
• Skills: Compiling, consolidating, and conducting basic analysis of accounting and finance information; examining financial statements and transactions; understanding and applying tax laws; performing controls testing to identify risks.
• Bonus: A minimum 2.5 GPA and a willingness to learn from others on the job.
