FCA Ministry Intern | FCA
The Tone:
This is an internship at FCA, specifically designed to develop student athletes by helping them discern their calling and career path. The program simultaneously introduces them to various aspects of ministry through FCA. This role is absolutely critical to the FCA mission and plays a vital part in their ministry, with all functions and responsibilities expected to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.

• Mission: To develop the intern’s understanding of their individual calling to ministry through relevant training and practical experience.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Adherence: Agree with and faithfully abide by the principles outlined in FCA’s Christian Community Statement.
• Spiritual Growth: Follow a consistent spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and dedicated Bible study, to continually seek the Lord’s will for the FCA ministry.
• Leadership & Equipping: Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual guidance for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through regular prayer, engaging Bible study, meaningful worship, and living as a clear example, thereby equipping them to effectively serve others.
• Community Engagement: Connect to and actively participate in a local church community through regular worship attendance and consistent weekly involvement.
• Ethical Conduct: Conduct yourself in a manner that consistently affirms biblical standards of conduct, in strict accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs as detailed within the Christian Community Statement, at all times.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Collegiate volunteers engaged in a learning and developmental ministry experience.
• Experience: Desire to discern a calling and career path in ministry; commitment to serving during either a summer or a semester period.
• Skills: Adherence to FCA’s Christian Community Statement and biblical standards of conduct; personal spiritual discipline including daily prayer and Bible study; ability to provide spiritual leadership; active participation in a local church.
