FCA Internship | FCA

The Tone:
This is an internship at FCA. FCA is a ministry focused on developing student athletes to discern their calling and career, while introducing them to various aspects of ministry. This internship is designed to deepen an individual’s understanding of their personal calling to ministry through specific training and direct experience. This role is critical to the FCA mission and plays a vital part in serving God as a form of worship.

• Mission: To develop student athletes in discerning their calling and career while introducing them to various aspects of ministry through FCA, and to deepen the intern’s understanding of their individual calling.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Adhere: Agree with, and abide by, FCA’s Christian Community Statement.
• Cultivate: Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord’s will for FCA.
• Lead: Conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example.
• Engage: Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
• Uphold: Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs at all times.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Collegiate volunteer, currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate seeking to explore a calling to ministry.
• Experience: A desire to gain learning and developmental experience within a ministry setting during a summer or a semester.
• Skills: Ability to lead and provide spiritual guidance through prayer, Bible study, and example; commitment to personal spiritual discipline; active participation in a local church; and adherence to biblical standards of conduct and FCA’s Christian beliefs.
