Intern | Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The Tone:
This is an internship at Fellowship of Christian Athletes, available in various locations. The company is an organization dedicated to building and supporting a ministry focused on athletics, aiming to develop student athletes both spiritually and professionally. This role is considered critical to the FCA mission and plays a vital part in their overall ministry by guiding individuals in understanding their calling and introducing them to ministry aspects.

• Mission: To develop student athletes in discerning their individual calling and career paths while introducing them to diverse aspects of ministry within the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Spiritual Leadership: Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual guidance for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example.
• Personal Devotion: Follow a consistent spiritual rhythm that includes daily prayer and Bible study to seek and understand the Lord’s will for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
• Church Involvement: Actively connect to and participate in a local church community through regular worship and weekly involvement.
• Ethical Conduct: Conduct oneself at all times in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct, in accordance with the Christian beliefs outlined in FCA’s Christian Community Statement.
• Vocational Development: Engage in a learning and developmental experience designed to deepen understanding of a personal calling to ministry through related training.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Collegiate volunteer or student athlete seeking a learning and developmental ministry experience.
• Experience: Desire to gain exposure to various aspects of ministry during a summer or a semester period.
• Skills:
• Agreement with and adherence to FCA’s Christian Community Statement and biblical standards of conduct.
• Commitment to following a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study.
• Ability to provide spiritual leadership through personal example and guidance.
• Active participation and connection within a local church community through worship and weekly involvement.
