The Tone:
This is an internship at FCA, with locations varying. FCA is dedicated to developing student athletes by introducing them to various aspects of ministry. This role is crucial for individuals seeking to discern their calling and career within a ministry context. It serves as a learning and developmental experience designed for collegiate volunteers to deepen their understanding and engagement with FCA’s mission.

• Mission: To develop the intern’s understanding of their individual calling to ministry through related training and experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Uphold Christian Community Standards: Agree with, and consistently abide by, FCA’s Christian Community Statement, ensuring alignment with the organization’s foundational beliefs and values.
• Maintain Personal Spiritual Discipline: Follow a consistent spiritual rhythm that includes daily prayer and Bible study, seeking God’s will and guidance for the FCA ministry.
• Provide Spiritual Leadership: Lead, conduct, and offer spiritual guidance to staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, shared Bible study, worship, and by living a life that exemplifies Christian principles, equipping them to serve others effectively.
• Engage in Local Church Community: Actively connect to and participate in a local church through regular worship and weekly involvement, fostering personal spiritual growth and community engagement.
• Model Biblical Standards of Conduct: Consistently conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct, in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs as outlined in the Christian Community Statement, at all times.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This internship is for collegiate volunteers, either current college students or recent graduates, who are interested in a learning and developmental ministry experience.
• Experience: As a developmental internship, no prior professional work experience is required. The program itself is designed to provide hands-on ministry experience.
• Skills:
• Adherence to FCA’s Christian Community Statement and biblical standards of conduct in all aspects of personal and ministry life.
• A demonstrated commitment to personal spiritual disciplines, including daily prayer and Bible study, to seek the Lord’s will.
• The capacity to provide spiritual leadership, guidance, and example to staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes within the FCA community.
• An active willingness to participate in a local church community through worship and weekly involvement.
