This is a Training Internship at DreamWorks Animation, located in Glendale, CA. • Mission: This person helps the Training Department facilitate, track, and record learning experiences for various studio departments to support the animation pipeline.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, screen capture software
What You’ll Actually Do
• Training Support: Supervise virtual, hybrid, and onsite training classes, managing attendance and maintaining related data in Excel.
• Content Creation: Record various classes using screen capture software and edit the recordings for distribution using Adobe Premiere.
• Administrative Assistance: Complete administrative tasks and create promotional posters for training classes as required.
• Learning & Development: Participate in virtual training classes to understand the animation pipeline and software utilized for film production.
• Departmental Insight: Gain comprehensive knowledge of the Training Department’s function and workflow across TV, Overhead, and Feature departments like Animation, Effects, and Surfacing.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree (or equivalent) in any field, or a recent graduate within six months of their graduation date. Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Experience: Proficiency in data collection and prioritization using Excel, demonstrated video editing skills with software such as Adobe Premiere, and basic design capabilities using tools like Photoshop.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, efficient time management, meticulous attention to detail, effective communication, proactive approach, and the capacity for strong multi-tasking and task prioritization.
• Bonus: A natural curiosity for animation or feature film production, and prior customer service skills.
