About Company

Charleston Wine + Food (CHSWF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the diverse food and beverage community of the greater Charleston area on a national stage. Founded in 2005 by community leaders, its initial vision was to create an event that would promote and elevate Charleston’s culinary brand, positioning the city as a prominent culinary destination.

CHSWF achieves this by producing a multi-day wine + food festival, which spans the first full weekend each March. This event brings together homegrown talent with top chefs, winemakers, authors, storytellers, artisans, experts, and food enthusiasts from around the globe.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025, CHSWF has renewed its commitment to not only showcasing the local culinary industry but also actively contributing to its growth and sustainability. Its mission is to create purpose-driven programs that build a sustainable, vibrant, and connected food and beverage community in Charleston.

Job Description

This is an Internship opportunity with Charleston Wine + Food (CHSWF), located in Charleston, SC.

Position Overview:
CHSWF is seeking dynamic, professional, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individuals for an internship role. Interns will work closely with various directors, managers, and administrators at the CHSWF HQ, gaining hands-on experience across multiple departments.

Departments Involved:
Interns will work within the following departments:
• Development
• Education
• Marketing
• Production
• Programming

Internship Structure and Duration:
This is a comprehensive 24-week internship, divided into two semesters:
Fall Semester: 12 weeks
Dates: September 8, 2025, through December 8, 2025 (excluding Thanksgiving week).
Spring Semester: 12 weeks
Dates: January 5, 2026, through March 27, 2026.
Hours: Interns are expected to work 12 hours per week. Dates and hours offer flexibility to accommodate school and class schedules.

Compensation:
• Interns will receive an hourly wage.
• There is an opportunity for College Credit. Students are responsible for working with their respective schools to understand the requirements for obtaining college credit. CHSWF will collaborate with each student individually to ensure the internship activities align with the college’s credit requirements.
