Executive Program Intern | Pa’Lante Leaders

The Tone:
This is an internship at Pa’Lante Leaders, located in New Jersey, United States, offering hybrid and virtual options with an in-person component on Wednesdays. Pa’Lante Leaders is an organization dedicated to youth empowerment and education through structured programs and active community engagement. This role is crucial for supporting organizational initiatives, expanding program reach, and fostering strong community relationships. The intern will gain direct, hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership, program management, and strategic development.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship

• Team: Reports directly to the Founder/President.
• Mission: To support program development, event planning, student recruitment, and community engagement for Pa’Lante Leaders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Event Management: Plan and execute various events, including an intern-pitched event for Spring 2027, by coordinating logistics, scheduling, communications, and preparing all necessary materials.
• Student Recruitment: Support efforts to recruit new student cohorts for Pa’lante programs by assisting with outreach strategies, tracking applications, and conducting follow-up communications with prospective students and families via email, phone, and virtual meetings.
• Community Engagement: Represent Pa’lante at various events, engaging directly with students, families, and community partners, while also conducting outreach to potential new partners and actively working to strengthen existing community relationships.
• Program Resource Development: Develop essential resources for both ongoing programs and upcoming events, including creating presentations, detailed schedules, and comprehensive informational materials to support program delivery.
• Executive Support & Project Coordination: Provide direct administrative and operational support to the Founder/President, which involves helping to manage projects, track timelines, participate in organizational meetings, provide input, and take notes, ensuring smooth communication and progress.

• Background: Student seeking college credit, demonstrating a proactive approach and a strong passion for youth empowerment, education, and nonprofit work.
• Skills: Organizational Acumen: Highly organized and able to efficiently manage multiple projects, timelines, and administrative tasks simultaneously. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Possesses strong written and verbal communication abilities, effective for interacting with students, families, partners, and internal team members through various channels like email, phone, and virtual meetings. Program & Event Coordination: Demonstrates a keen interest and foundational ability in event planning, program development, and coordinating logistical details for successful execution. Relationship Building: Capable of conducting outreach to potential partners and fostering positive community relationships.
• Bonus: College Credit Focus: Preference will be given to candidates who are seeking college credit for their internship engagement.
