Event & Marketing Intern | The Anthem Group

The Tone:
This is a temporary internship at The Anthem Group, a collection of highly acclaimed international market leaders in live entertainment, large-scale event production, experiential marketing, tourism, hospitality, and placemaking industries. This role offers a multi-discipline and multi-industry experience, designed to foster innovation and creativity while enriching individuals with operational, creative, planning, and development skills. As an intern, you will contribute to the setup of major public and private projects, supporting a company that institutionally champions over 100 non-profit, educational, and charitable causes.

The TL;DR

• Type: Temporary (Fall Semester: September through mid-December, with option to extend)

• Mission: To learn multi-discipline, multi-industry skills in operational, creative, planning, and development aspects across live entertainment, event production, and experiential marketing.
• Tech Stack: Canva, Adobe

What You’ll Actually Do
• Market & Site Research: Conduct market, client, and project location diligence, including research for potential venue sites for future ventures.
• Campaign Support: Coordinate mixed-media, marketing, and digital campaigns, and support their organization and implementation.
• Event Planning & Concept Development: Contribute to event planning by creating new concepts and assisting with currently planned productions and programs.
• On-Site Event Logistics: Deliver logistical, operational, and on-site support at various events and programs.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a liaison for external constituents such as exhibitors, vendors, musicians, and client representatives, dependent on the project.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be enrolled in a current undergraduate or graduate school degree program and take the internship for College/University credit.
• Experience: No industry specific experience is required, but an aptitude and interest in large-scale event production, experiential marketing, and the process of setting up major projects is necessary.
• Skills: Aptitude for learning operational, creative, planning, and development skills; strong organizational abilities and a collaborative approach to achieving event objectives.
• Bonus: Previous graphic assistance experience (e.g., Canva, Adobe) is useful; a minimum GPA of 3.0 is desired; familiarity with The Anthem Group’s websites, social media, and The Anchor project is highly recommended.
