Job Title: Events Intern

Location: Fort Lauderdale Campus
Summary:
The Events Intern will assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of church events. This includes providing support for logistics, vendor coordination, research, and on-site event management. The intern will also contribute to administrative tasks, communication efforts, and post-event activities.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of events from start to finish.
• Support event logistics, including vendor coordination, room setup, and breakdown.
• Conduct research on vendors and event trends to support planning efforts.
• Maintain event timelines, task lists, and production schedules.
• Prepare event materials such as photobooths, signage, and event handouts.
• Assist with on-site event support, including day-of logistics, check-in, directing guests, and troubleshooting.
• Take meeting notes and provide administrative support to the Events Administrator.
• Support post-event activities, including surveys and post event meetings.
• Collaborate with communications teams to produce signage and printed materials.
Learning Goals:
• Gain practical experience in planning and executing large-scale ministry events.
• Experience working closely with the Events Administrator throughout all phases of event coordination.
• Build skills in leading cross-functional teams, managing logistics, and supporting event production.
• Learn to create welcoming, well-organized, and impactful experiences that reflect the church’s mission and core values.
• Strengthen creativity in the aesthetic elements of executing events.

Work Schedule:
• Tuesday: 8:30a – 2:30p
• Wednesday: 8:30a – 2:30p
• Thursday: 8:30a – 2:30p
• Friday: 9a – 2p (Intern Cohort)
• Weekends: Occasionally during significant initiatives or events (Hours will flex).
Additional Information:
• Hours and days may vary depending on campus-wide events.
• Physical requirements: May have to bend, sit, or stand for prolonged periods, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 35 lbs.
