Event & Sponsorship Marketing Internship
Duration Of Internship: May – August 2026 (flexible for the right candidate)
Pay: Stipend
Alliance Highway Safety is seeking FLEXIBLE, OUTGOING, and ORGANIZED individuals for an Event & Sponsorship Marketing Internship. This role involves coordinating a variety of sponsorship events across the country, focusing on impactful community messaging for highway safety programs.
As part of Alliance’s internship program, you will gain hands-on experience in event marketing and corporate sponsorships. You’ll learn from experienced staff, assist with managing sponsorship campaigns, and engage with established professionals in highway safety. The role involves significant travel to diverse events such as fairs, festivals, motorcycle rallies, racetracks, college sports, and the Choices Matter Program.
Alliance Highway Safety specializes in direct highway safety programs with various states, delivering targeted messages about drinking and driving, texting and driving, wearing seatbelts, speeding, and other crucial campaigns. Our platform utilizes sports, entertainment, and high school venues to reach communities effectively.

Responsibilities
- Staffing and fulfilling event metrics as scheduled (weekdays, weekends, and some holidays).
- Planning, booking, and coordinating all travel arrangements.
- Contacting and collaborating with venue coordinators, including school leadership, college career centers, and sponsorship partners.
- Researching marketing tools and collecting program data for analysis.
- Traveling to events across the country and effectively marketing highway safety campaigns.
- Reporting and communicating regularly with managers to maximize the impact of highway safety programs.
- Preparing professional recaps of each event for clients.
- Capturing photographs of marketing activations and attendee engagement at events.
- Ensuring each venue meets all sponsorship requirements (e.g., proper sign placement, PA announcements, video commercials, print ads).
- Performing inventory management for both office and off-site storage.
- Engaging in “team-think” and brainstorming sessions to enhance the effectiveness of sponsorship activations.
- Creation of projects using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva (optional, but a plus).
- Other tasks as assigned to support program goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be able to travel extensively (75% of the time).
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Preferred: Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Application & HubSpot.
- Strong ability to multitask and manage time effectively under pressure.
- Ability to stay flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
- A self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills that complement a proactive, solution-driven, and team-oriented work ethic.
- Ability to work untraditional hours, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. as needed for event setup and breakdown.
Education/Experience
- College Juniors / Seniors needing an academic credit internship.
- Recent graduates looking for valuable experience in marketing, event management, and operations.
