Director, European Financial Services (Work & Rewards) | WTW

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at WTW, operating in a hybrid pan-European environment. WTW supports leading Financial Services institutions with a comprehensive Work & Rewards business, offering advisory, data, and technology solutions. This role is pivotal in driving the growth and development of WTW’s Work & Rewards offerings across Europe, particularly with large multinational banking groups, by originating strategic opportunities and strengthening market relationships. Your contributions will directly impact WTW’s ability to deliver essential reward intelligence and strategic advisory initiatives to major Financial Services organizations.

• Team: European Financial Services leadership team, reporting to the European Financial Services Leader.
• Mission: Originate, develop, and coordinate strategic Work & Rewards opportunities with leading Financial Services institutions across Europe.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Development: Support the development and execution of the European Financial Services Work & Rewards growth strategy by identifying and coordinating opportunities across major multinational groups.
• Work & Rewards Growth: Drive the expansion of WTW’s Work & Rewards business within the Financial Services sector by originating opportunities across Executive Compensation, Compensation Management, and Reward Governance.
• Client Leadership: Act as a trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders, supporting complex discussions and coordinating multi-country pursuits involving various WTW business lines.
• Reward Data & Benchmarking: Drive participation in WTW’s compensation and reward surveys across Financial Services and support the growth of Executive Compensation benchmarking services and products.
• Market Leadership & Collaboration: Maintain a strong understanding of market developments and represent WTW in relevant forums, while facilitating collaboration across advisory, data, and technology solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level professional with a deep understanding of the Financial Services sector, particularly banking, and strong knowledge of Executive Compensation, Compensation Design, Compensation Management, and Reward Governance.
• Experience: Substantial in-house experience within a major Financial Services organization or a well-established advisory track record supporting Financial Services clients across Europe, with proven success in supporting large multinational groups in a pan-European environment.
• Skills: Established market credibility and a strong professional network within the Financial Services industry, excellent commercial and relationship-management skills, and the ability to coordinate complex multi-country opportunities involving senior executives and board-level stakeholders.
• Bonus: Familiarity with compensation surveys, market benchmarking, and reward data solutions would be advantageous.
