Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership Program (2027) | Owens Corning

The Tone:
This is a 24-month structured development program at Owens Corning, located at various manufacturing sites across the US. Owens Corning is a branded building products leader primarily focused on roofing, insulation, and doors for residential markets. This program is designed to prepare early career professionals for critical Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) leadership and specialist roles, ensuring the well-being of our teams and the environmental integrity of our North American manufacturing operations. It offers early exposure to leadership training, accelerating careers with various post-program paths.

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, various manufacturing sites in the US

• Mission: To prepare candidates for Environmental, Health & Safety leadership roles within North American manufacturing facilities through a structured development program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Systems: Understand and implement management systems across manufacturing operations.
• Develop Policies: Create and implement procedures and policies related to environmental, health, and safety.
• Deliver Training: Develop and deliver training programs for various EHS topics.
• Ensure Compliance: Navigate and ensure adherence to regulatory processes.
• Lead Projects: Manage projects and develop project plans for EHS initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Preferred bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety management, Chemical engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience: Previous relevant internships or co-ops in a manufacturing setting.
• Skills: Analytical and problem-solving abilities, capacity to lead projects and develop project plans, demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations.
• Bonus: Willingness and flexibility to relocate during or upon completion of the program; an enthusiastic attitude with the ability to creatively navigate tasks and connect people to solve problems; takes initiative to competitively drive results; executes against goals and timelines.
