Student Co-Op – Lima, OH (Summer 2027) | Cenovus Energy

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Cenovus Energy, located in Lima, OH. The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Analyze process, operational, environmental, safety, financial, and supply chain data to support performance improvements and identify trends.
• Operational Support: Assist with process monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and day-to-day operational activities across various departments.
• Project Execution: Support the design, installation, upgrades, and modifications for equipment and capital projects.
• Compliance & Reporting: Help ensure compliance with EH&S and process safety standards, and contribute to accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain teams, as well as external vendors, to achieve project and business objectives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution (including Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. programs) and either returning to full-time studies or registered in a co-op/internship program for the duration of the work term, with possible placements in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical/Instrumentation, Environmental, Civil Engineering, Accounting & Finance, or Supply Chain Management/Logistics. New graduates are not eligible.
• Experience: No prior professional work experience is explicitly required, as this is a student co-op position.
• Skills: Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of the work term, available to begin work in May 2027, solid analytical and Microsoft Suite skills (specifically Excel), ability to work well in a team environment, and excellent interpersonal, judgment, and decision-making skills.
