What You’ll Actually Do
• Preparation: Prepare financial statements, compilations, and reviews, as well as federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and complex businesses.
• Technology & Compliance: Apply modern accounting technology and adhere to firm practice-management guidelines, quality-control procedures, and professional standards (FASB, AICPA, GAO, GASB).
• Communication: Proactively communicate with team members, managers, and clients, responding to inquiries, providing project status updates, and keeping leaders informed.
• Project Management: Manage project timelines and budgets efficiently while consistently meeting client expectations and ensuring high-quality results.
• Client Relationships & Advisory: Build strong, professional client relationships, identify accounting and tax issues, and assist with special projects such as budget analyses and cash-flow projections, delivering innovative solutions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A minimum of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting is required, with demonstrated progress toward CPA eligibility. This role is specifically designed for new or soon-to-be graduates with less than one year of professional experience.
• Experience: Candidates should have less than one year of experience in accounting, ideally coupled with active progress toward obtaining CPA certification, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and a tech-savvy mindset comfortable with various accounting software are essential. Strong communication skills, a professional presence, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service are also key.
