Entry Level Outside Sales Trainee | Reynolds and Reynolds

The Tone:
This is an early career position at Reynolds and Reynolds. During the initial training phase, the role is primarily based in Dayton, OH, involving extensive travel, followed by relocation to an assigned sales territory. Reynolds and Reynolds specializes in providing high-end software, marketing, and business solutions tailored for the automotive industry. This trainee role is fundamental to developing new sales professionals who will contribute to the company’s growth by selling these critical products and services to new and existing customers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Train: Complete a comprehensive 12-month sales training program that includes both field-based and classroom instruction.
• Learn: Attend courses at Reynolds University, covering topics such as dealership operations, sales techniques, and negotiation skills.
• Observe: Work alongside an assigned Sales Mentor in their territory, actively observing the sales process and providing assistance on customer calls.
• Understand Products: Travel with customer service and installation teams to gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of Reynolds and Reynolds’ product offerings.
• Achieve Quotas: Upon successful completion of the training program, relocate to an assigned territory and consistently achieve designated monthly and annual sales quotas for high-end software, marketing services, printed forms, and promotional products within the automotive industry.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, qualifying for an early career sales professional role.
• Experience: Requires the ability to travel 80-100% with overnight stays during the 12-month training program. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years).
• Skills: Demonstrated good time management skills, a proven ability to build strong customer relationships, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Willingness to relocate to an assigned territory following successful completion of the training program.
