Entry-Level Labor Position – Swing Shift

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a motivated individual for an Entry-Level Labor position at our Fiber Operations facility in Oroville, California. We employ over 6,000 people across various operations, including sawmills, manufacturing (custom wood-framed windows, fabrication, millwork, veneer), cogeneration, trucking, and forestry.

We are dedicated to sustainable forest management, owning and managing over 2.4 million acres of timberland across California, Oregon, and Washington. Our forests are managed under a 100-year plan, planting over 6 million new trees annually, having recently planted our 300 millionth seedling. We also efficiently use nearly 100% of every piece of wood, converting any unused material into electricity in our eight biomass-fueled power plants.

About The Position

This is a swing shift, entry-level labor role with significant growth potential within our Oroville Fiber Operations facility.

• Location: Fiber Operations facility in Oroville, California
• Shift: Swing Shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities & Opportunities:

• Learn and explore various jobs within the plant site, including production, equipment maintenance, and supervision.
• Train to fill in on various machine stations.
• Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, raking, and sweeping wood byproducts.

Work Environment & Demands:

• The work is fast-paced and can be physically demanding.
• Requires repetitive lifting.
• Involves working in both hot and cold environments.
• May consist of overtime and weekend work during busy production times.

Qualifications

• Recent, related work history with verifiable references is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
