Entry Level Interior Designer | ZGF Architects

This is an early career position at ZGF Architects, located in Seattle, WA. • Mission: To actively contribute to the Interiors Group by collaborating on design concepts, producing essential documentation, and supporting both interior design projects and marketing initiatives for a diverse range of opportunities.
• Tech Stack: Revit, Rhino, Sketch-Up, Adobe Suite (or similar programs).
What You’ll Actually Do
• Design Collaboration: Actively participate and collaborate with the broader design team to generate, develop, and refine creative design ideas for various interior projects.
• Documentation Production: Produce a range of critical design documentation, including detailed design drawings, engaging presentation drawings, and various graphic design works.
• Visual Communication: Develop both digital and physical models, alongside renderings, to effectively support and visualize concepts for Interior Design projects and marketing initiatives.
• Professional Development: Work under close supervision, consistently receiving instruction and mentoring from senior staff regarding assigned tasks and overall project management best practices.
• Project Execution: Undertake diverse interior design assignments, contributing collaboratively with team members towards achieving innovative and functional design solutions for clients.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional who has successfully graduated from a recognized professional Interior Design program.
• Experience: While professional experience is beneficial, it is not strictly required for this entry-level role; however, previous experience with the production of design documentation is considered valuable.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong communication and graphic skills; proven ability in physical and digital modeling and rendering; a basic understanding of fundamental design and construction principles; required proficiency in software such as Revit, Rhino, Sketch-Up, and Adobe Suite (or similar programs).
• Bonus: A strong sense of creative curiosity and motivation for design.
