Job Title: Entertainment Production Coordinator (Internship)

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Entertainment Production team as a Production Coordinator. This role is a unique opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in coordinating all technical and guest-facing aspects of live entertainment productions. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of our shows, maintaining a guest-first mentality, and supporting our production staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Coordination:
    • Coordinate all technical and guest aspects of live entertainment productions.
    • Ensure all shows start on time by maintaining a “guest first” mentality.
    • Develop and implement procedures to enhance area efficiency and operation.
    • Act as a resource for the production team, offering support and guidance.
    • Immediately report any unsafe acts to Entertainment Management to maintain a secure environment.
    • Work on special projects as assigned by Entertainment Management, contributing to broader departmental goals.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision:
    • Work as an active member of the assigned area, providing hands-on support as needed.
    • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to think quickly in high-pressure situations.
    • Motivate and inspire a work crew to achieve production goals.
    • Fully understand the job responsibilities for all positions under direct supervision.
    • Develop and maintain work schedules for all staff within the assigned area.
    • Monitor the performance of team members and provide constructive coaching, counseling, and disciplinary/commendable action to improve performance.
    • Hold regular crew meetings to disseminate park/department information and gather feedback.
    • Train new personnel as needed, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Operational & Compliance:
    • Ensure all show elements are well-maintained and executed safely.
    • Ensure all Character performers’ costumes and Meet & Greets strictly adhere to guidelines set by Warner Bros. and the Six Flags Production Team.
    • Navigate in, on, or around scenic elements associated with specific productions, often in potentially dark and restrictive spaces.
    • Complete all departmental and park-related paperwork accurately and promptly.
    • Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures outlined in the Seasonal Handbook and Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Work within other department venues and units as operational needs arise.
    • Collaborate with Entertainment Management to assist and shadow in various aspects within the Entertainment Department, gaining a comprehensive understanding of operations.

Qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Availability: Shifts are dependent upon show needs and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • License: Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand/walk for the duration of a shift and be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Personal Attributes: Must be professional, self-motivated, possess the ability to multi-task effectively, and maintain an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Teamwork: Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others are essential.
