As an Engineer Intern, you will play a vital role in driving technology advancement and product success. You will collaborate closely with both internal and external teams across every stage of technology research, hardware and software design, and development, helping to achieve team and professional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in Technology Research and Development (R&D), including specification design and development, and product software and hardware design and development.
  • Engage in every stage of the technology R&D lifecycle, encompassing algorithm design, specification development, hardware and software design and development, prototyping, data analysis, and other essential product development tasks.
  • Experience and apply an industrial customer-centric methodology in technology and product development. This includes understanding customer requirements, identifying crucial features to meet essential needs, and designing products aligned with customer expectations.
  • Design specifications, algorithms, and structures; actively evaluate and improve designs to ensure the technology meets all requirements. Ensure the quality of technology and product through teamwork, following development procedures and executing workflows efficiently.
  • Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills to effectively interact with both internal team members and external collaborators. This collaboration spans every stage from algorithm design, hardware design, software design, testing, and manufacturing, to customer support, all to ensure the high-quality delivery of products.
  • Work closely with collaborators to optimize products in alignment with industrial standards. Collaborate with customer support and marketing teams to identify key issues and implement necessary improvements based on customer feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: BS/MS/PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related Engineering and Science fields.
  • Professional Skills:
    • Proven qualities in teamwork, being detail-oriented, procedure compliance, strong learning ability, strong ability of adaptation, multitasking, and prioritization.
    • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Experience delivering high-quality technology and products to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Expertise (Hardware & Signal Processing):
    • Experience with FPGA/DSP implementation of signal processing algorithms and wireless receiver algorithms.
    • Proficient in hardware timing analysis, hardware block-level design, and system-level design.
    • Experience with hardware-software integrations.
    • Experience in wireless system hardware implementation, including PHY transceiver, hardware-software integrations, and hardware product prototype implementation and validation.
  • Technical Expertise (Software & Simulation):
    • Proficient in programming and simulation evaluation of receiver algorithms in wireless communication systems.
    • Proficient in coding on simulation platforms to evaluate the most critical receiver algorithms with the hardware engineering team.
  • Domain Knowledge (Wireless Systems):
    • Knowledge and understanding of wireless system technologies with a focus on 5G, including channel estimation, signal detection, multi-antenna systems, channel coding, beamforming techniques, and wireless positioning methods.
    • Understanding of wireless system principles and general design guidelines.
    • Strong mathematical and theoretical capabilities in receiver algorithm designs and evaluation, including probability, detection and estimation theory, matrix theory, and parameter optimization.
    • Understanding of the technologies and specifications of mainstream wireless systems, including 3GPP 5G and LTE specifications, O-RAN specifications, and the IEEE 802.11 series specifications.
