What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive operational excellence by engaging in technical training necessary to master your role and contribute effectively within the Consumer America Division.
• Cultivate personal growth through focused development in self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and conflict management skills.
• Develop leadership capabilities, learning to communicate vision, increase engagement, and effectively manage organizational change initiatives.
• Build trust and strengthen professional relationships across the business, establishing results through collaborative efforts and valuable project work.
• Contribute actively to Sonoco’s culture and processes, gaining a deep understanding of business operations while connecting with established leaders and receiving coaching.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering obtained by December 2026 or May 2027. This is an entry-level program designed for professionals starting their career.
• Experience: Previous internship experience, preferably in a manufacturing or relevant functional area, combined with proven leadership experience.
• Skills: Demonstrated technical aptitude, strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bonus: A desire to work in a manufacturing environment and openness to the possibility of relocation immediately or in the future.
