What You’ll Actually Do
• Facilitate: Deliver engaging and effective online math tutoring sessions to elementary school students.
• Instruct: Explain core elementary math concepts, including number sense, operations, fractions, decimals, geometry, and data interpretation, using various strategies and models.
• Adapt: Adjust teaching methods and materials to address individual student learning styles and specific areas of struggle within the curriculum.
• Manage: Invoice for completed tutoring sessions, with payments processed up to twice per week.
• Engage: Connect with students through personalized 1-on-1 online sessions and by accepting instant, on-demand tutoring requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced subject mastery in elementary math, covering number sense, place value, operations, fractions, decimals, measurement, time, money, geometry, patterns, and introductory data interpretation, coupled with familiarity with grades one through five math standards.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to break down complex mathematical concepts using hands-on manipulatives, visual models, and real-world connections, guiding students through problem-solving and foundational arithmetic.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills with a friendly, engaging teaching style; adept at identifying learning challenges, explaining material using multiple approaches, and adapting instruction to meet individual student needs and styles.
