What You’ll Actually Do
• Apply: Work with a team to apply knowledge in digital and model-based engineering techniques.
• Contribute: Support system architecting and requirements engineering processes across various projects.
• Develop: Aid in developing solutions for mission and complex system of systems challenges.
• Explore: Investigate and integrate advanced approaches such as AI-enabled and agile systems engineering.
• Gain Expertise: Learn and gain experience in specialized engineering fields including mechanical, aerospace, systems security, or the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA).

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related degree program. This is an Early Career role for recent graduates.
• Experience: Possess knowledge of systems, mechanical, or aerospace engineering theory. Prior experience applying these learnings in an internship or research/lab position is preferred.
• Skills: Demonstrate sustained excellence in academic performance. Familiarity with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and/or Unified Modeling Language (UML) is valued.
• Bonus: Experience with Digital Engineering or Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE); proficiency in Systems Engineering tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Rhapsody, Stella, iThink, Anylogic, or Systemitool; proven ability to independently learn new technologies; experience with Science & Technology (S&T) capability assessments, trade studies, analysis of alternatives, or prototype design; CAD experience; and a demonstrated interest in serving the public.
