• Mission: Provide local technical assistance for testing, inspections, and entry-level project engineering tasks across various construction projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collect, compile, and analyze data from physical work sites, surveys, construction plans, and various matrices for project development, design, and construction.
• Perform basic professional civil engineering work, including researching and inspecting proposed and existing site conditions to ensure conformance with applicable rules and standards.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on various design requirements and operating strategies to ensure the safety and functionality of end-users, systems, and infrastructure.
• Conduct construction quality assurance (CQA) or construction quality control (CQC) on projects involving earthworks, construction applications, or geosynthetic liner deployment.
• Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and field/work site notebooks or logs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an ABET-accredited program for an Early Career role.
• Experience: 0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience, with a proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
• Skills: Excellent research skills with an analytical mindset, competent interpersonal and communication skills, proficient self-leadership with attention to detail and ability to prioritize responsibilities, and familiarity with relevant civil construction laws, codes, and regulations.
• Bonus: Engineer in Training Certification, ACI Field Technician Level 1, GSWCC (NPDES) Level 1B (Red) Certified Inspector, ICC or NICET Soils, Asphalt, Reinforced Concrete certifications, GDOT: Roadway Testing Technician (RTT), OSHA 10, 30, 40 etc. certifications, familiarity with discipline-specific design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Geosystems), prior internship related to the degree of study, or active participation in local professional practice organizations.
