  • A foundational understanding of fabrication drawings and strong blueprint reading abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting or Design.
  • Introductory knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), enhancing design precision.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Experience with heavy structural steel and complex welded designs.
  • Prior lofting experience in industrial or marine applications.
  • Direct experience in developing CNC cutting files for manufacturing.
  • Specialized experience in CVN (aircraft carrier) or submarine structural design and drafting.
  • Knowledge or experience with ASME Code pressure vessel and heat exchanger design.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
