Key Learning Areas and Responsibilities:
Interns will gain practical experience and training in:
• Land Surveying: Learn fundamental techniques for boundary surveys and topographic data collection.
• Aerial Mapping: Work with cutting-edge digital aerial mapping tools and processes.
• Construction Inspection: Gain insight into the critical role surveying plays in construction projects.
• LiDAR Laser Scanning: Master advanced technologies for precision mapping and data acquisition.
• Utility Designating: Learn how to accurately identify and map underground utility systems.

What You Bring to SAM:
To be eligible for this impactful internship, candidates must possess:
• Must be a transitioning service member from one of the branches of the U.S. military.
• Strong interest in land surveying, geospatial solutions, or related fields.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
• Targeted MOCs: 12T, 12Y, 15W, 0261, 1361, 7314, EA, 3E5X1, 1N1X1 (we will consider all MOCs, but these have highly transferable skills).
