DISTRICT ACCOUNTING MANAGER | Canteen North America

As the District Accounting Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing all accounting functions and Ivend activity specific to the district branch. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Operations Oversight: Manage comprehensive accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash room operations, and coordination of banking and armored car services.
• Period Close & Reporting: Lead the period close process, ensuring the general ledger is accurately represented, completing all balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting in the production of weekly financial reports.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Provide financial perspective on business issues through cost-benefit analysis, identify areas for profit improvement from financial statements, and contribute to forecast and budget modeling.
• HR and Compliance Management: Handle day-to-day HR issues, including payroll, benefit administration, training, FMLA/Worker’s Comp, regulatory compliance, and staffing, while maintaining internal controls within district operations.
• Audit and Operational Support: Interact with internal and external auditors, provide assistance with DOT-related issues and schedules, and support building maintenance management as necessary.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Business program, such as Accounting, Finance, or Management, providing a solid theoretical foundation for financial oversight.
• Experience: Bring a minimum of two years of dedicated financial management experience, alongside a broader professional history of two to five years in total, including prior experience as a Staff Accountant. This combination ensures readiness for managing district-level accounting responsibilities.
• Skills: Demonstrate working knowledge of essential Microsoft Programs, including Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, and proficiency with SAP. A critical skill is the proven ability to effectively track and measure complex financial data and communicate this information clearly across various organizational levels.
