Dispatcher | DO & CO AG

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at DO & CO AG, located in New York. DO & CO AG is a global gourmet entertainment provider with three business segments: Airline Catering, International Event Catering, and Restaurants, Lounges & Hotels, operating across 33 locations, 12 countries, and 3 continents. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and timely dispatch of airline catering, supporting a large team of drivers and driver helpers, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance within the transportation department.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Supervise and support a large team of drivers and driver helpers, including managing their schedules and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable rules, regulations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Receive and relay critical incoming calls and information from airline clients and the airport to relevant departments.
• Process and manage meal ordering information to ensure accurate and timely distribution to all pertinent departments.
• Maintain a safe workplace and provide information on department policies, procedures, and relevant federal, state, and local laws.
• Verify all vehicles are in proper working condition, including compliance checks, fueling, and maintenance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: Supervisory Individual Contributor. Core domain knowledge in dispatch operations and transportation regulations.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a similar role. Successful completion of the mandatory airport security clearance process for the assigned location.
• Skills: Excellent planning and coordination, outstanding communication, effective decision making, attention to detail, and computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Bonus: Ability to work independently, capability to manage quickly to overcome deficiencies in transportation, flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays), and the ability to work long hours on foot in environments with varying temperatures.
