• Mission: This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing an innovative, evidence-based activities program that enhances the lives of residents.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Development: Develop and implement a seven-day-per-week activity program encompassing emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual well-being for residents.
• Resident Outings: Organize and lead community outings, providing transportation for residents using the community vehicle.
• Community Engagement: Arrange resident parties, entertainment, and coordinate the creation and distribution of the in-house newsletter.
• Individualized Engagement: Promote resident participation and interaction by tailoring programs to individual interests.
• Care Planning Collaboration: Contribute to resident care plans by attending meetings and providing observations on needs, preferences, and behavioral changes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level role requiring a CNA license and High School diploma or equivalent. Successful candidates must pass background and drug screens.
• Experience: Proven experience prioritizing tasks and managing projects to completion within deadlines, with effective time management skills.
• Skills: Activity program development, staff supervision, resident engagement strategies, project management, clear communication.
• Bonus: Associate or bachelor’s degree in human service or recreation therapy; experience with elders in a group setting; eligibility for state activity director certification; valid state Driver’s or Chauffeur’s license (if required by property); First Aid Certification.
