Design Intern | Prophet

The Tone:
This is a Design Intern position at Prophet, a consultancy based in San Francisco with global offices. Prophet helps clients unlock growth by developing new business models, reimagining brands and experiences, and driving customer engagement. This role offers an intern exposure to translating brand strategy into powerful and purposeful creative concepts, working alongside members of a global design studio.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Contribute to the development of creative design solutions, from initial ideas through to final implementation, ensuring they align with brand strategy.
• Partner: Foster strong, collaborative partnerships with colleagues across the creative team to ensure cohesive and successful project outcomes.
• Guide: Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure design solutions are feasible and to articulate clear design principles and guidelines for implementation.
• Present: Clearly present and substantiate all creative work, including logos, visual identities, and comprehensive systems, to internal teams.
• Support: Participate in new business efforts and initiatives as requested by the team or leadership.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recently completed a BFA degree program or is currently enrolled in an MFA program, with a baseline understanding of design methodologies, user-experience/interface design, information design, and corporate identity/branding.
• Experience: Demonstrated excellent brand identity and visual system thinking, as showcased in a strong portfolio, and the ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of typography, layout, color sense, and proficiency in the latest design tools, including Adobe Suite, Figma, and AI Tools, complemented by solid interpersonal, verbal, visual, and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain design issues and dynamically present ideas.
