Administrative Manager – Ambulance Service | Mount Sinai Health System

• Mission: Owns the successful coordination and delivery of day-to-day administrative, operational, and financial activities for the ambulance service.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Oversight: Provide comprehensive oversight of the administrative, operational, and financial activities for a department, medical care unit, or division, ensuring successful day-to-day coordination and delivery.
• Resource Management: Establish major schedules, assign tasks, and allocate manpower, space, and equipment to ensure conformance with departmental goals and objectives.
• Policy & Compliance: Recommend changes in operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational guidelines, and ensure activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Fiscal Management: Assist in determining fiscal requirements, prepare budgetary recommendations, and monitor, verify, and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds, ensuring adherence to budget parameters.
• Personnel & Liaison: Interpret and administer personnel policies such as hiring, performance appraisals, training, and staff disciplinary activity, while serving as a liaison for staff regarding policies, grants, and budget.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
• Experience: 5+ years of related business experience with competency in applying general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles, and coordination of one or more major administrative functions.
• Skills: General personnel practices, accounting principles, budgeting principles, policy administration, regulatory compliance (federal, state, local regulations, JCAHO, CARF, NYS/NYC Department of Health).
• Bonus: Master’s degree.
