Crop Inputs Retail Summer Internship
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in retail sales, agronomy, operations, and grain within the agricultural sector. It provides an excellent entry point for future career opportunities within Cargill.
Responsibilities:
• Agronomy: Learn about weed and crop disease identification, stage growth analysis, plant population assessments, insect problem detection, nutrient deficiencies, and soil issues. Assist the Agronomy and Sales team in planning and executing customer events. Contribute to setting up customer demonstration trials.
• Operations/Grain: Gain knowledge about grain elevator operations, including loading and unloading rail cars, grain movement, maintenance, and general day-to-day duties.
• Retail Sales: Assist with receiving and shipping crop input merchandise, familiarize yourself with fertilizers and pesticide products and services. Receive training on various chemicals and fertilizers to provide recommendations and solutions to customer needs.

Requirements:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma from an accredited program, graduating between December 2025 and August 2027.
• Ability to complete a 16-week internship from May to August 2025.
• Possess a valid Canadian driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions, including exposure to sun, wind, rain, pollen, dust, and insects.
• Comfortable working independently and with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada for Cargill.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Plant Science, or Soils Science.
• Prior experience in agriculture, sales, or scouting.
• Geographically flexible and willing to relocate.
