What You’ll Actually Do
• Cost Management: Maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Inventory Analysis: Complete comprehensive inventory reconciliations and conduct thorough reserve analyses.
• Performance Variance: Analyze manufacturing and purchase price variances to provide insights into operational performance.
• Financial Close: Support essential monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Collaborative Partnership: Partner with operations and supply chain teams to continuously improve costing accuracy and strengthen accounting processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a career level reflecting at least five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience: Proven cost accounting experience specifically within a manufacturing environment.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, GAAP, and variance analysis, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Bonus: NetSuite experience is a plus, and a CPA designation is preferred.
