Corporate Vice President, Product Solutions Communications | New York Life Insurance Company
The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at New York Life Insurance Company, requiring 3 days per week in-office. The company provides financial security through a range of insurance and wealth management products. This role is crucial for developing and executing communications strategies that enable agents, field managers, and Product Consultants to effectively understand and act on opportunities across Life Insurance, Long-Term Care Insurance, Individual Disability Insurance, Wealth Management, and Annuities. The role is about ensuring communications are timely, relevant, and drive desired behaviors to advance business priorities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategize: Own and proactively shape the Product Solutions communications strategy and roadmap to address evolving business needs and influence functional direction.
• Direct: Set the overall communications direction for Product Solutions, ensuring messaging is aligned, integrated, and effective across Agency Field Engagement, Sales Strategy, and Product Solutions.
• Standardize: Establish communications standards, best practices, target audiences, timing, desired actions, and success measures to guide consistent, high-impact execution.
• Advise: Serve as the communications subject matter expert for Product Solutions, providing strategic counsel and thought leadership to business partners and senior stakeholders.
• Execute: Draft clear, compelling communications and coordinate their distribution across appropriate channels, advocating for field relevance and practical usability.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, with the career level of Corporate Vice President.
• Experience: 8-10 years of corporate or business communications experience, including at least 5 years of in-house experience at a Fortune 500 company, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Skills: Excellent writing, listening, presentation, and communications skills; strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to evaluate competing initiatives and prioritize messages; ability to navigate complex organizations and operate within ambiguity.
• Bonus: Comfort using AI tools to enhance productivity; demonstrated track record of achievement in a world-class organization; collaborative team player with executive presence; experience providing advice and counsel to senior stakeholders; experience with change management and culture change initiatives.
