Contracts Management (Level 2) – Junior Level

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career contracts professional to join a dynamic team as a Contracts Negotiator. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day contract negotiation and administration for both unclassified and classified, highly dynamic programs in Fort Worth, TX and/or Marietta, GA.

Working both independently and as part of a team, you will collaborate closely with various functional organizations such as finance, pricing, program management, engineering, and subcontracts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strategic thinking capabilities, eager to learn, and skilled at coordinating effectively with both internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure successful contract execution and program objectives.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Support day-to-day contract negotiation and administration activities for both classified and unclassified programs.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and coordination of contractual documents to ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, pricing, program management, engineering, and subcontracts to support contract execution.
  • Contribute to contract lifecycle activities such as modifications, tracking deliverables, and resolving routine issues.
  • Build working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers while developing an understanding of contract management best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (e.g., General Business, Project Management, and/or Contract experience), OR 4 years of experience in the absence of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • General Business, Project Management, and/or Contract experience.
  • Must be able to maintain a Secret Government security clearance and obtain and maintain Special Program Access.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Experience in developing and delivering both oral and written presentations.
  • Experience working independently and in a team situation.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARs).
  • Experience with multiple contract types and proposals, such as FFP (Firm-Fixed-Price), FPIF (Fixed-Price Incentive Fee), CPIF (Cost-Plus-Incentive-Fee), CPAF (Cost-Plus-Award-Fee), CPFF (Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee) & T&M (Time & Material).
  • Experience multi-tasking and working several assignments concurrently.
  • Experience dealing with Customers and internal program teams, including upper management.

Work Location:

This position is an Onsite Full-time role. The work will be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility in Fort Worth, TX and/or Marietta, GA.
