The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Northrop Grumman, located in Linthicum, MD, supporting the F35 Production Operating Unit. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems develops secure, affordable, integrated, and multi-domain systems and technologies, focusing on battle management and cyber solutions for global security. As a Contract Administrator, you will be instrumental in ensuring proper contract acquisition and fulfillment for revolutionary systems, contributing to advancements that impact people’s lives and protect the U.S. and its global allies. This position involves supporting customer contract activities and maintaining compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Mission: Ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment for assigned programs by managing contractual obligations, negotiations, and administration in compliance with policies and legal requirements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Interface: Act as a primary interface with the customer for contractual issues, monitoring the contract and associated program to ensure contractual obligations are communicated and understood.
• Contract Lifecycle: Participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and contract administration to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
• Compliance & Solutions: Work under general supervision to develop solutions for both routine and complex contractual matters, ensuring company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.
• Risk Management: Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks related to financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, and termination, recommending risk mitigation strategies.
• Financial Operations: Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales, prepare and manage written communications, and ensure timely delivery of contractual deliverables and submission of invoices.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Contract Administration/Management or another Business Administration related function.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in Contract Administration/Management or a Business Administration related function with a Bachelor’s degree OR 1 year of experience with a Master’s Degree.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel; U.S. Citizenship required; the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance is required.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and/or commercial clauses; experience using 1ERP; a current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance; experience with US government customers.
