2027 Finance Development Program (Starts February / June 2027) | Wesco

The Tone:
This is a two-year development opportunity for high-potential individuals, with a remote work/in office hybrid model based out of Wesco’s Pittsburgh, PA or Glenview, IL locations. Wesco, a publicly traded FORTUNE 500® company founded in 1922, builds, connects, powers, and protects the world as a leading provider of business-to-business distribution, logistics services, and supply chain solutions. This program accelerates business and technical skills development through three 8-month job rotations, offering a wide understanding of Wesco’s business and active involvement in key business priorities.

The TL;DR
• Role: Development Program Associate
• Location: Hybrid Pittsburgh, PA or Glenview, IL
• Pay: $28–$31 hourly
• Mission: Accelerate the development of business and technical skills through rotational assignments in various finance functions to support key business priorities.
• Tech Stack: MS Excel, Access, PowerBI, large information and accounting systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Forecasting: Prepare financial forecasts, analyses, and reports for assigned rotation management teams.
• Budgeting: Support the development of annual budgets for business units or finance functions, tracking and analyzing variances throughout the year.
• Close Activities: Participate in month/year-end close activities, including preparing, reviewing, and assessing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and allocations.
• Analysis: Provide analyses and recommendations based on financial data and pertinent information, identifying issues and suggesting courses of action for improving operations.
• Improvements: Work closely with other corporate and business unit resources to improve standardization and implement best practices.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, for individuals completing their undergraduate degree or within 2 years post-graduation.
• Experience: 1-2 years of prior experience, including internships and responsible part-time positions.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling, data analytics, and technical skills; excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills; robust problem-solving and detail-oriented approach; high level of comfort working in MS Excel, Access, PowerBI, and large information and accounting systems.
• Bonus: Must be an aggressive learner and comfortable with change, with an ability to travel 0-25% of the time.
