The Tone:
This is an unpaid, hybrid internship at Do317 Media, located in Indianapolis, IN. Do317 is Indianapolis’s largest and most comprehensive culture and entertainment community, connecting over 100,000 locals to “What to do tonight.” This role is critical in creating, managing, and curating engaging content across multiple platforms to influence decisions on where to go and what to do, directly connecting the community to local events and cultural attractions. The intern will receive compensation in ways other than monetary, based on performance and attendance at various events.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Creation: Assist in creating, managing, and curating engaging content for Do317’s website, social media channels, and daily newsletter.
• Research: Research local events and activities to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Writing: Write clear and engaging event descriptions for various listings.
• Updates: Update event listings to maintain accuracy and timeliness.
• Social Media: Contribute to the development and execution of social media content.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level intern pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Marketing, or a related field. Must be based in Indianapolis, IN, with reliable transportation.
• Experience: Experience in web content writing and content management.
• Skills: Strong communication and writing skills; proficiency in developing and implementing content strategies; interest in culture, events, and community engagement in Indianapolis; ability to meet deadlines, stay organized, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Bonus: Experience using content management systems or similar tools is a plus.
