The Tone:

• Pay: $80000–$110000 yearly
• Team: Works closely with experienced consulting leaders and receives dedicated mentorship from firm leaders.
• Mission: Prepare individuals to independently operate as consultants and confidently take ownership of client work.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute: Support live client engagements through comprehensive research, in-depth analysis, and the creation of high-quality, client-ready materials such as decks, models, and reports.
• Structure: Convert ambiguous and incomplete information into clear, structured outputs that leaders can directly present to clients, ensuring clarity and impact.
• Grow: Progress from providing behind-the-scenes delivery support to actively leading client discussions and presenting your own recommendations as your skills and confidence advance.
• Develop: Participate in targeted professional development and learning opportunities, including Consulting Capability Deep Dives, designed to build practical consulting skills and sound judgment.
• Support: Assist with business development and proposal work, learning directly from firm leaders how client relationships are built and expanded, and contribute to internal initiatives for firm growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a strong record of academic performance and meaningful leadership experience. Alternatively, candidates may bring military experience in an operational leadership capacity, an MBA (in progress or recently completed) with early-career professional experience, or early professional experience in a corporate, technical, or functional role demonstrating high performance and independent ownership.
• Experience: A longstanding record of leadership and excellence across academic and professional pursuits, coupled with a clear commitment to building a long-term career in consulting at The Gunter Group. This includes demonstrating initiative, ownership, and the ability to navigate complex environments.
• Skills: Strong intellectual curiosity and the rapid ability to learn new industries, technologies, and diverse client contexts. Possesses the initiative and ownership to proactively contribute, rather than waiting for assignments. Demonstrates comfort in balancing multiple types of work, including client delivery, business development, and internal initiatives, while consistently maintaining high quality and follow-through. Skilled in transforming ambiguous or incomplete information into clear, structured outputs and communicating thinking effectively to various audiences. Exhibits openness to coaching and feedback, with the agility to quickly adjust based on guidance.
