The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at Nasdaq, located in Mexico City, requiring at least three days a week in-office. Nasdaq is at the forefront of powering capital markets globally by building and delivering scalable financial solutions. This Senior Specialist role is instrumental in shaping how these advanced solutions are implemented and delivered to clients, playing a direct part in understanding complex client needs and solving critical business challenges with significant real-world impact across diverse financial ecosystems.

• Mission: To partner with clients, understanding their business needs to shape and deliver scalable financial solutions that power global capital markets and address complex business challenges.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Partner with clients: Translate complex business needs and requirements into practical, actionable capital markets solutions tailored to client specifications.
• Configure solutions: Design, configure, and deliver scalable system solutions, ensuring they align seamlessly with established industry best practices and client expectations.
• Collaborate globally: Engage actively with international teams across different time zones to collectively design, rigorously test, and successfully implement high-quality solutions for diverse clients.
• Support clients: Provide comprehensive support to clients throughout all project phases, from initial design and development to successful go-live deployment and ongoing post-implementation activities.
• Improve products: Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within existing products and processes, contributing directly to enhancing overall product capabilities and operational efficiencies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a senior-level professional, typically holding a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a closely related field. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered in lieu of a specific degree.
• Experience: Possess 3-8+ years of dedicated experience within capital markets, consulting, or financial technology. Candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to effectively translate intricate business needs into tangible functional solutions, while also influencing key decisions within collaborative, global work environments, leveraging familiarity with various financial systems or tools.
• Skills: Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, proficient in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus). Demonstrate an analytical, collaborative, and customer-focused approach to problem-solving complex challenges.
• Bonus: Prior experience across diverse asset classes such as FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, or Equities is highly valued. Knowledge of critical risk management concepts including market, credit, and liquidity risk. Experience working specifically with software delivery or implementation projects.
