• Job Title: College Intern – Environmental Science/Biology
• Salary: $15.00 – $16.00 Hourly
• Location: The internship is primarily located at the Se7en Wetlands at 500 W. Carter Rd. in Mulberry, FL.
• Job Type: This is a Part Time Temporary position, with interns working a maximum of 30 hours per week.

• Facilitating environmental classes, tours, guided hikes, summer camps, and other events, both at Se7en Wetlands and in the broader community (potentially virtual).
• Aiding in water quality monitoring, sampling, equipment maintenance, and data management.
• Supporting land and habitat management activities, such as conducting plant and animal surveys.
• Carrying out special studies related to projects, analyzing data, and formulating recommendations based on findings.
• Utilizing GIS software for environmental data analysis and display.
• Being able to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights and weekends.
• Possessing a valid driver’s license.
• Being comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, in and around water, and in the presence of associated wildlife.
• Qualifications: To be considered for this internship, candidates must be enrolled as a Sophomore or Junior in an accredited college or university in a major relating to Environmental Science or Biology.

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, other City employees, and the general public.
• Working Environment/Conditions: The role involves sedentary work that includes some walking or standing, and the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force on a recurring basis.
