CLUB Customer Service Outfitter

The CLUB Customer Service Outfitter at Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s is responsible for delivering world-class customer service to our guests while effectively presenting the benefits of becoming a CLUB Member. This role demands a product expert who will execute account servicing and various CLUB processes, including acquiring and activating new members, driving CLUB sales, enhancing customer experience, providing peer coaching and influencing, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Proactively greets customers and presents them with the opportunity to become a Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s CLUB Member or provides current members with a unique and exclusive experience.
  • Executes all Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s CLUB operational and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
  • Demonstrates products to customers, providing expert knowledge and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales, promotions, and special offers to inform customers effectively.
  • Helps meet metric goals and objectives for both individual performance and store-wide targets.
  • Maintains accurate CLUB inventory and ensures the CLUB Booth is clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Provides a full CLUB Member experience, including comprehensive service processes such as processing payments, answering account questions, and processing new applications.
  • Provides daily feedback and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Offers peer coaching, recognition, and support as a dedicated CLUB advocate and representative.
  • Provides service to all areas of the store based on business need, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned to support store operations.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience, preferably in a customer service environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and peers.
  • Strong adaptability to new processes and procedures.
  • Excellent self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to perform well unsupervised.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and/or walk during shift to assist customers on the sales floor, etc.
  • Ability to hear well enough to constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
  • Constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Constantly assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
  • Light work that includes lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly.
  • Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, step stools, etc.
  • Occasionally work in noisy environments.

Independent Judgment

This role involves performing tasks and duties under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and displaying innovation. The incumbent will choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems and will occasionally exercise independent judgment to complete work assignments. Opportunities to make recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices are frequent.
