Job Description: Clinic Assistant Fall Intern
This is an internship opportunity for a Clinic Assistant Fall Intern position at One of the Kids’ South Austin location. The internship is scheduled for Fall 2025, with applications being accepted through July 31, 2025.
The internship focuses on providing crucial support to families caring for children with autism. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in the mental health and pediatric medicine fields while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize office and therapy supplies, and report low inventory levels to the office manager.
• Respond promptly to therapist requests.
• Provide breaks for therapists as needed.
• Assist with various administrative tasks.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of therapy rooms and the gym.
• Act as a teacher’s assistant during structured group activities.
• Support learners in staying on task during activities.
• Gather necessary materials for therapy sessions and activities.
• Assist with children’s specific needs as they arise.
• Attend and actively assist in teaching lessons, leading crafts, and other developmental activities.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrates a professional appearance and attitude.
• Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exhibits excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Has a genuine desire to work with children.
• Has an interest in pursuing a career in the mental health or pediatric medical field.
• Must be a current college student.
• Must be available to work approximately 30 hours per week during Summer 2025.
