What You’ll Actually Do
• Design & Permitting Support: Contribute to the initial design phases and permitting processes for a wide array of civil/site plans, encompassing areas such as utilities, stormwater management systems, geotechnical considerations, and structural components. This also involves assisting with grant-related documentation.
• Construction Oversight: Engage in construction observation activities, gaining practical insight into project implementation and quality assurance directly in the field.
• Project Engagement: Actively participate in various office-based assignments, learning about project planning, documentation, and coordination from the firm’s headquarters.
• Field Immersion: Undertake field assignments to understand on-site conditions, data collection, and practical application of engineering principles directly at project locations.
• Collaborative Work: Work seamlessly as a member of multi-disciplined project teams, collaborating with professionals across different specializations to achieve project objectives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Eligibility is open to current students who are sophomores or above, actively pursuing an applicable degree program in civil engineering or a related field. The program is specifically designed to provide foundational experience for individuals entering the civil engineering field.
