Civil Construction Engineering Internship

As a Civil Construction Intern, you will work alongside Benesch’s Construction Engineering professionals who deliver high-quality solutions for infrastructure projects. This role provides hands-on field experience and exposure to various aspects of construction engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer construction projects.
• Engage in construction observation and project documentation.
• Learn directly from experienced engineers and project managers.

Location

This is a field-based internship, offering opportunities to collaborate on active projects and receive mentorship from Project Engineers and Project Managers.

What You Will Need

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (EIT preferred).
• Experience working on field projects (a plus).
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, GeoPak, and/or AutoCAD (desirable).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently within budgets and schedules.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Compensation

The expected compensation range for this position in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act is $18—$26 USD per hour. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
