Campus Ambassador | Owting
The Tone:
This is a remote internship with regular in-person campus activities for Campus Ambassadors at Owting, located in the Los Angeles area. Owting is an early-stage, mission-driven company building a social platform to help old and new friends connect in real life, focusing on discovering activities, making plans, meeting up, and building meaningful offline friendships. This role is essential for establishing Owting’s presence on university campuses, fostering real-world connections among students, and contributing to the company’s mission of reducing loneliness.

• Mission: Introduce students to Owting, build relationships with campus organizations, and create opportunities for students to connect in person.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Campus Representation: Represent Owting on campus and introduce the social platform to students.
• Community Building: Build relationships with student clubs, athletic groups, Greek organizations, student leaders, and other campus communities.
• Event Promotion: Promote Owting at campus events, social gatherings, club meetings, and community activities.
• Grassroots Campaigns: Develop grassroots campaigns that increase awareness, signups, referrals, and engagement using trackable referral links.
• Experience Organization: Help organize meetups, campus activations, collaborations, and social experiences for students.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification: Currently enrolled at a college or university in the Los Angeles area. Career level: Entry-Level. This role requires an individual to be an active and integrated participant in campus life.
• Experience: Active involvement in student organizations, athletics, Greek life, student government, or other campus communities.
• Skills: Possess strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills. Familiarity with campus culture, student trends, and social media. Exhibit dependability, self-motivation, and comfort working independently.
• Bonus: Interested in startups, marketing, events, partnerships, or community building.
